Been procrastinating with deciding which classes to drop this semester and in the meantime, found this supersweet poster of D.C. on Ork Posters. Hopefully you can see it below:

Moving on up
So in a week, we are set to move into a swanky, modern apartment. Currently we live in a bit of a craphole- we've loved it actually- its our first actual house and came complete with a yard (and an extremely unkempt family of greenery), a woodburning fireplace (whose cover is actually dislodged so when we've had fires, we've also placed something heavy in front of it to keep the fire where it belongs) and a wall of mirrors (the house used to be a beauty parlor aka "The Hair Salon"- clever name). Needless to say, its been quirky and rather dirty, but we've made it our own and will miss it as we move on up to a swankier, recently built flat with all new appliances (including a dishwasher- wohoo!), hardwood floors, a "soaking tub" (not quite a jacuzzi but large!), double sinks in the bathrooms, exposed concrete and marble countertops throughout. And with this move comes a whole set of decorating opportunities- one of which is to create or buy a headboard. So I've been scouring the web for inexpensive ideas. Here's what I've come up with so far...what do you think?
These ideas, by the way, are from diyideas.com.

And baby makes...four
For the past four years, S and I have happily lived as a young twenty-something couple. Two years ago, we added to our family by getting an adorable mutt from a local shelter. Chatham, our sweet pup, has added cuddliness, entertainment and love to our little family, but now, the time has come for us to add even more to our brood- we're having a baby!
In light of this wonderfully exhilarating addition, I am taking our home life by the reins and attempting to become a domestic goddess. Well- perhaps that's an exaggeration, but at the very least, I would like to be able to cook a few meals, exercise my creativity through culinary and decorative arts...and in general, nest a little bit.
Check back in anytime you'd like and feel free to suggest and comment on my domestic endeavors...I need all the help I can get!
